Feeling Halloweenie!!!!!

I absolutely love Halloween!

This is my super easy weekend craft! On my trip to the DG today I picked up some 1 dollar window clings....when I got them home I decided to use them for a craft lol who would've thought!

I went to my trusty wood pile and got just the right piece...painted it up with my acrylic paint and then out came the mod podge! I glued on the window decal and mod podged over it to make it stay in place for outdoor weather! This thing is my favorite weekend project so far!!! It came out so flippin cute!!!!

I'm sure this is the first of many of this project because it was so simple and the window clings come in so many different designs the possibilities are endless!!!!

Jack-o-lantern Jars!

I am so ready for Halloween!!! So I have been saving every jar I have used lately and couldn't figure out what to do with them but now....dantandaaaaa I have made then into Jack-o-lanterns!!! Yay super easy and cute! What you will need:

  1. Orange paint
  2. jars
  3. sharpie marker
  4. paintbrush

And have at it!!! Super cute...the plan is to wait til they dry and add candy or lights to them for the front porch!!! (The baby one isn't for outside) ;-)

Easy As Pie

Chicken Pot Pie that is!!!! Super yummy and this is my FIRST ONE!!!! I was so caught up in trying to get everything perfect that I honestly didn't take any pictures but we're in luck cause I found some pics of all the ingredients online lol! So I loved this recipe and it was so much simpler than I thought it would be! What you need......

  1. Pillsbury Pie Crust....(or whichever you prefer)
  2. Cream of Chicken
  3. 2 Cups each of frozen peas and corn
  4. Few baby carrots sliced
  5. Half an onion finely chopped
  6. About a pound of fresh Chicken cubed
  • Once you have your chicken cubed throw it in the pot with the baby carrots until both are done then drain.
  • In a pot together put your soup corn and peas (when chicken is done throw it in too!!!
  • line the pan you've chosen with the pie crust and rub on some butter to taste (if you like I LOVE BUTTER) ;-)
  • When your veggie mixture is finished pour it into your pan and  cover with the other pie crust and decorate with your fork however you want!
  • Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes and
  • ENJOY!!!!!!

Tennessee gift wreath!

As my mother in-laws birthday draws nearer and I know how much she loves Tennessee I decided to gift her a team wreath! It turned out so great so I decided to post the tutorial here! ~~~~~~I purchased the wreath form at A.C. Moore it cost me 5.99 then I purchased the wooden letters which honestly didn't cost near as much as I expected them to the large T=2.99 the small VOLS: .49 a piece so they weren't awfully expensive! Well worth it!
I also found this horn at the craft store for 2.00 and used some tulle and ribbon to decorate the remainder of the wreath!
Had to run to the bedroom with my saturday project so I could catch some football lol
And here is the finished product hopefully she loves it!!!!

Classroom snack! Round #1

So my son has just started 4k and it has rolled up on his first snack day! I wanted to celebrate this little milestone by making a special snack for his class. His classroom discipline chart is fish bowls with named fish and the teacher judges who's fish stays in the bowl due to the child's behavior. So, with that said I decided to make "fish bowls!"
I just made the jello and poured equal amounts into these clear cups I found at the Dollar Tree {my fav. store} had to get 3 packs of 10 bc there are 24 kids in class.
With that said I put the cups into the refrigerator for about 45 minutes until the top was almost thick and slid two fish in each cup, I had to use a skewer in to keep some of the fish from falling over and emotionally scaring 4 year olds for life lol.
Once the fish were in I then placed the cups back into the fridge for the rest of the time it takes for the jello to set.
Now I know this isn't the prettiest looking project here but the 2 trays I purchased at the dollar store weren't the sturdiest things in the world so I had to insure that the cups wouldn't fall off while carrying them into the class. Anywho here they are in all there 26 cup glory! {2 for teachers} And my son is super proud to be taking these to his "friends"

Sept. 11 th Memorial!

I figured since my family vacation this year was to New York City I would post some memorial pictures that we took from there! It was very heart wrenching to see all those names, and think that the world trade plaza was a HUGE tourist attraction, and that some of those names were of people who where just visiting there to see the view! (As we had done in the Empire State Building) To think about that was a very scary and very sad thing!!! So this is my way of remembering those lives lost!

It's my favorite month!~September!!!!

Yep that's right it's that time again! The time where you stay all day outside and play and don't even break a sweat!! It was so nice here in south carolina today sunny with a temp of breezy 81!!! Wonderful!!! ~~~~~~~~And last but not least the best thing about september is BONFIRES!!! {and roasted marshmallows} We finally get to use my homemade fire pit!!!! It just sits out there all year waiting for this time lol
Our little pup was so ready for bonfire season!!! She was lovin it!!!
I walk out the door to find the hubs and our son with their own little crafted project! lol they made themselves roasting sticks out of skewers and pvc pipe electrical taped together kekekekeke not very cute but apparently very effective!
This is our FAVORITE time of the year!!!!

Clemson ribbon wreath!

So it is no secret to those of you who know me that I am a huge Clemson Tiger fan! ;-) And what better way to celebrate the awesome game yesterday than to do some sunday funday wreath making! So I actually recycled a wreath I already had just took the flowers off and replaced them with team colored ribbons! Then cut the flowers off of the "vine" and replaced them onto the wreath! No glue because I will probably recycle it again! lol So I just tied all the ribbons on! Oh btw this is just a dollar tree wreath form and flower vine was only a buck there as well!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is the wreath b4, was just way too plain for me, I had to spice it up a bit!
And this is where it begins! Can't believe I found this little wreath at the dollar tree!! Granted it was the only one I found or of course I would've gotten 10 lol
And here it is...what do ya think! I still think it's a little plain but I plan on adding more embellishments soon...but not today

Teacher gift is finally done!!!!

Wanted to get something for my son's 4K teacher because he is such a handful and she is so patient with him, she deserves something awesome!!! So I decided on a pencil vase came out costing me about 5 bucks...I bought 2 20 packs of cheap pencils at wal mart $.63 a piece...also got abc ribbon from wal mart cost 1.00 for the whole spool!!!
So then I ventured over to the dollar tree and found a perfect vase and small picture frame. I also picked up some fake flowers to complete the look. I then very carefully hot glued the pencils on the vase very close almost touching each other I just glued the top and bottom of the pencil. Pardon my lovely leg picture lol
Once all those are finished and glued tightly together, I then cut some of the awesome ribbon and tied a cute bow around the pencil vase gluing it at the bow and the back to keep it in place! You could probably glue it all the way around but I was running out of glue lol
I then just took a sheet of printer paper cut it to size and decorated it with said teachers name...replaced the paper and hot glued the back of the frame to the pencils so that it can still stand but is stuck to the vase as well. Inserted the flowers and this is the cutest little (I'm sorry my son is a butt hole) gift! ;-)
Since my son was so unbelievably bad at school today and I had to pick him up early I think she will be delighted to get this little gift tomorrow!

Hot water secrets!!!

I am fortunate enough to have a broken mixer....(not) And recently discovered that if you mix the cake mix with hot water instead of cold (whatever amount is on your box) you don't have to stand there for an hour with the whisk! The hot water dissolves the cake mix then add your other ingredients. It also makes your cake SUPER moist and yummy!!!!!
Also I have been doing this same step with Kool-aid for years just put hot water in the bottom of your Kool-aid jug and add sugar and Kool-aid then just stir gently for a minute and whalllla No more stirring forever with sugar still in the bottom!!!!
