The easy and cheap pinata!

Ok first I bought the punch balloons from the dollar store (I'm cheap like that). Used this because it had the rubber band I used as a hanger. Then I mixed up flour and water to make the paper bonding agent. Cut newspaper in one inch strips. I let collin help me put the strips on so he would feel like he help (he just made a mess) lol Hang it outside for about two hours to dry. May take longer depending on how many layers you have. Don't let it dry completely because the streamers need to go on while it is still sticky. Then...
I went to my favorite place PINTEREST. Typed in angry bird printables and found these really great balloon faces. I also got the red streamers from the dollar store so there is the 3$ I spent to make this, as I already had newspaper, flour, and water. Cut out the bird face and belly. Then just experiment on how you want the streamers to go on. I tried to make mine look like feathers as much as possible. Once you've brought in your almost dried pinata, and applied the streamers. Back outside it goes to completely dry. It is ok if the newspaper shows through a bit when it dries it won't be noticeable.
This is how mine looked after applying the streamers..you could see the newspaper at first. And my hands were totally red. After this has dried maybe an hours or so take some hot glue or whatever kind of glue you would like to use and glue on your bird face and....
Viola...you have your almost finished angry bird pinata!!!!! I say almost finished because you still have to bust the balloon and staple or glue in that awesome rubber band to the top and add candy. I stapled in the rubber band and it worked out perfect but if you have lots of heavy candy you may want to use something a little more sturdy! Hope you make this it was a wonderful addition to my son's birthday and I was sooooo proud!
